Send ad hoc letters by Swiss Post too!

Standardised correspondence and transactional printing, such as ID cards, invoices, etc., are covered by specific processes within every organisation.

However, within the same organisation, there are bound to be situations where a personalised letter needs to be sent to a specific group of customers. An invitation to a corporate event, for example.

Such letters are rarely standardised separately so that they can be sent via the transactional process in the background. These letters are of an ad hoc nature.

The familiar workflow:
The administrator or the boss’s secretary has to make do with what they have. Most often, the mail merge tool in the Office suite is used. This quickly feels like a craft session, and you’re glad when it’s over.

You can never be sure whether the corporate design is still correct, as the last mail merge document used is usually simply reused.

What’s more, further time has to be spent printing this batch yourself, putting it into envelopes and taking it to the post office.

Why is that, actually? Why are you forced to use a local tool for mail merges when there is already an automated printing system with direct delivery to the post office?

This is exactly where DocGenie comes to the rescue!

You still have to organise the relevant data and enter it into an Excel spreadsheet, but when it comes to the actual letter text, you can concentrate entirely on the content. The corporate design is guaranteed to be reproduced correctly.

You simply enter the desired subject line and content into pre-prepared template documents. One per language. Once this is done, you upload the Excel and Word files to the DocGenie Desktop
